唱歌「夏の思い出」の土地・尾瀬。歌中にある通り、水芭蕉の群生地として知られている。初夏の水芭蕉の時期が終わると、湿原一面にワタスゲの黄色く特徴的な花が咲く。次第に花は、ふわりとしたワタボウシになり、そして、尾瀬が一番華やぐニッコウキスゲの季節となる。
　尾瀬の夏は鮮やかで、短い。ノアザミやアヤメ、また水生植物のオゼコウホネやヒツジグサなど、多様な植物を眺めながらのトレッキングに出かけてみてはどうだろうか。
