樹齢800余年といわれる「古町の大イチョウ」。福島県指定天然記念物で、高さは35m、目通り11mもある大木だ。老木ながら、空に突き上げるような枝々に、幾百幾千の黄色の葉っぱをこんもりと付けている様は、燃えるようなエネルギーを感じられる。


■"Big ginkgo of Furumachi(in Minamiaizu town)" ,which is said over 800 years old.
It is a Natural Monument designated by Fukushima Prefecture ,and it is a big tree of 35 meters in height and 11 meters in diameter.
Even though it is an old tree, the shape of the tree that has skyward branches with hundreds and thousands of yellow leaves, makes you feel burning energy.
