例年3月は梅が、4月は桜が楽しめる白河小峰城。東北では珍しい総石垣造りの城で、日本100名城のひとつ。山田洋次監督による映画「武士の一分」の撮影スポットにもなった。
　4月の「小峰城さくらまつり」では、川越藩火縄銃鉄砲隊の甲冑武者行列・姫行列が行われる。桜をバックに轟く火縄銃の銃声は、圧巻。
